The 2026 In Memory Of Coach Mike Ditka Bears Shirt is a commemorative tribute to one of the most recognizable figures in Chicago football history. Following Mike Ditka’s passing on October 9, 2026, at age 86, this memorial shirt honors a remarkable career defined by fierce leadership, championship success, and an enduring connection with generations of Bears supporters.
For those who remember the unforgettable 1985 season, it offers a personal way to celebrate the legacy of the man affectionately known as “Da Coach“.

2026 In Memory Of Coach Mike Ditka Bears Shirt – A Lasting Tribute to a Chicago Football Legend

The shirt features a striking memorial collage against a deep navy blue background, incorporating Chicago’s familiar orange, white and navy color scheme.
Across the upper chest, large arched lettering reads “IN MEMORY OF” in bold orange typography with contrasting outlines. Beneath it, a collection of Mike Ditka portraits captures different chapters of his public life from sideline appearances and coaching moments to his recognizable sweater-and-tie combinations.
A prominent portrait of Ditka, featuring his signature gray hair and mustache, anchors the composition, smaller images surround the central portrait creating a visual timeline of the coach’s unmistakable personality and changing appearance throughout the years.
Behind the portraits Bears-inspired imagery and orange accents reinforce the Chicago football connection.
The lower section displays “MIKE DITKA” in oversized orange collegiate-style lettering, directly underneath the phrase “FOREVER ‘DA COACH‘” honors the nickname that became inseparable from his identity.
The commemorative dates 1939–2026 appear alongside a Chicago-style C emblem and a bear-head graphic.
At the bottom, “THANK YOU FOR THE MEMORIES” completes the tribute with a heartfelt farewell, the design is presented on a classic short-sleeve, crew-neck T-shirt with a relaxed everyday silhouette.

Mike Ditka was born on October 18, 1939, and died on October 9, 2026. He became a defining figure in Chicago sports as both a championship-winning player and the Bears’ head coach from 1982 through 1992.
His greatest coaching achievement came on January 26, 1986, when Chicago defeated New England 46–10 in Super Bowl XX at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, completing its celebrated 1985 championship season.
This Mike Ditka memorial shirt connects those memories with a visual tribute that longtime supporters can recognize and appreciate.
