A Message From The Designer of Our New Logo
From the beginning of this project I knew I wanted to give this design a clean, quality look. I've seen the website and the products and I already liked the direction the brand was going in.
Initially, we talked about unity, diversity, togetherness, Inspiration, and faith. Using these keywords I was tasked to try and figure out a way to create said design while Incorporating these into the brand name.
There are four characters in 2EZE. The'E’s’ initially are already identical. The'2' and '2' stand alone on their own. My objective was to make each character completely different from one another (diversity factor) all the while figuring out a way to connect them somehow (unity factor). Here, I simply removed the Stamford the first 'E' and connected the top portion of the ‘E' to the top portion of the 'Z' utilizing the unity keyword The fact that there were only 4 characters to design around made it easier to use said keywords. Now every character is different (diversity) and yet they work and come together (E+Z) expressing the whole unity factor.
After a number of sketches on layout, Icon and placement l had to find what typefaces would work
best to give the brand the clean look I was going for. After pulling a few I narrowed it down to only one i.e. GOTHAM 'Bold.’ Gotham was my foundation in piecing all of this together. Here, I customized where needed to give me the exact look I had thought of.
